Healthy ministry starts here.
“Building healthy ministry relationships from the ground up starts with a strong foundation.”
—Rev. Dr. Tracey Dawson
Healthy ministry relationships are the backbone supporting vital, thriving churches where the love of God is mirrored in the way congregants feel valued, supported, and safe.
What is commonly thought of as “pastoral boundaries” can better be considered the gifts of self-awareness and restraint clergy give themselves to keep from getting hooked by their own vulnerabilities. Awareness of ministry health and the red flags of clergy burnout and/or overreaching is the responsibility of all church partners: clergy, parishioners, and staff. Laypersons are an invaluable resource to their pastors in keeping their ministries emotionally and spiritually grounded, ethical, and professional.
This website is intended to be a resource for all persons in ministry. Here you will find opportunities for learning how to create a strong and safe ministry system in your setting, how to reach out for expert help should your clergy or church be in crisis or in need of training, resources for your own studies, and helpful blogs and podcasts on targeted, relevant topics. Help is just a click away; you don’t have to stand alone.
